Bring Your Own Project
Peer-Directed Learning
There is no instructor. You work on YOUR project. When you get stuck, ask the person at the next bench. When someone else is stuck, you help them. Learning happens between people, not from a podium. A facilitator keeps the space safe and connects makers to each other — but the community IS the teacher.
How a Session Works
1
Arrive & Set Up
Claim a bench. Unpack your project. New? Grab a Starter Kit from the shelf.
2
Open Work Time
Build, code, solder, print, paint. Post on the Help Board if you're stuck.
3
Skill Spark (Optional)
A 10-min micro-demo by a member: quick soldering tips, LED tricks, 3D print settings.
4
Show & Share (Optional)
Hold up what you made. 30 seconds. Applause. No pressure.
The Help Board
Two columns on a whiteboard: “I need help with…” and “I can help with…”. Post a sticky note. The facilitator matches people. Expertise finds problems. Problems find solutions.
